Do you know trikatu churna has been used since ages and most of the ayurveda doctors recommend it to their patients for daily intake. Trikatu churna has vast advantages over various diseases.
So you must be wondering, what is Trikatu Churna made from? Trikatu churna is the formulation made from three widely used herbs Gaja Pippali/ Long pepper – Piper longum, Kali Marich/ Black pepper – Piper nigrum and Shunthi/ Adrak/ Ginger – Zingiber officinalis. Take all these three herbs in the same amount or let say 100 grams of each and make the very fine powder from it separately under hygiene conditions. Mix all three powders well and your trikatu churna is ready to be consumed.
According to your body type it can be consumed from 0.25 gms to 4 gms three times a day with honey or water. As this churna is hot in potency, so someone with gastric problem should take after doctors advice or people suffering from gastric problems should consume after food.
Below are some use of trikatu churna:
- If you are suffering from a cold this churna can be taken with honey or water three times a day after food. Regular intake will help you to get rid of the cold and will help you balance your kapha.
- If you are suffering from a cough, take it with honey two times a day.
- If you are suffering from cough, cold and flu, consume 2 grams of trikatu churna with honey two times a day.
- One great remedy if you are suffering with indigestion. Take 3 grams of trikatu churna, add honey and jaggery to it and take this with chaas/buttermilk or lime juice before food.
- If you are having anorexia (don’t feel like eating anything), take this churna with honey or lime juice and add a little bit of salt. If you are taking with honey, make small balls to consume.
- If you have pain in chest, stomach, back, joints or ears take this churna 2 to 3 times a day with honey.
- If your voice is hoarse because of cough and cold, take the trikatu churna with honey.
- If you are suffering from roundworm, threadworm, and tapeworm infestations, this churna can be taken with honey or milk.
- To treat the high level of cholesterol, consuming trikatu churna regularly can do magic.
- Trikatu churna can be also used for treating thyroid.
